How to Get Your API Token

Follow these steps to generate an API token, which is essential for authenticating your requests when interacting with the MrScraper API.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Login to Your Account
    First, log in to your account using your credentials. Make sure you have access to the platform.

  2. Click the Profile Icon
    Once you’re logged in, locate the profile icon at the top right of the navigation bar and click on it.

  3. Select “My Profile”
    From the dropdown menu that appears, click on the “My Profile” option to navigate to your profile page.

  4. Scroll Down to the API Tokens Section
    On your profile page, scroll down until you reach the “API Tokens” section.

  5. Click the “Create” Button
    In the API Tokens section, you’ll see a “Create” button. Click it to start generating a new API token.

  6. Enter a Token Name
    A form will appear asking for a token name. Enter a meaningful name for your token so you can easily recognize it later.

  7. Check All Abilities
    Below the token name, you’ll see a list of permissions or abilities. Ensure that all the necessary abilities are checked, depending on the scope of access you need for the API.

  8. Enter the Token Expiry Date (Optional)
    Optionally, you can set an expiry date for the token. This can be useful if you want to limit the token’s lifetime for security reasons.

  9. Hit the “Submit” Button
    After completing the form, click the “Submit” button to generate your API token.

  10. Copy the Token
    After submission, your API token will be displayed. Make sure to copy it right away, as you won’t be able to view it again later for security reasons.

    Store your API token securely as you will need it to authenticate your API requests.
